Frequently Asked Questions
WWPT practice is an out-of-network provider for all insurances. This allows us - you and me - to dictate care and provide the highest quality treatments possible. I do provide a Superbill that you may submit to your insurance or health share after the visit. Reimbursement is not guaranteed and is dependent upon your individual policy.
*Unfortunately, at this time, it also means that we are not allowed to work with anyone carrying Medicare - even if they would like to pay out of pocket for PT.*

Your physical therapy plan of care will include an Initial Evaluation and a combination of treatments that will be based upon our findings at the time of your Evaluation.
Initial Physical Therapy Evaluation (90 minutes): $350
Follow-Up Treatment Sessions:
60-minute session: $190 - standard
Extended 90-minute session: $285 - optional upon request
Total costs for an episode of care vary depending on the number of visits and length of the treatment sessions. A Good Faith Estimate will be provided after your Evaluation. You always have a say in the development of your plan of care. We will work together to decide upon the best plan for you.
In Texas, you’re allowed to begin physical therapy without a referral and continue care for up to 30 days. (30 consecutive calendar days; not 30 visits). After that, we are legally required to have a signed referral or order on file from a qualified medical provider in order to continue treatment.
I do my best to remove the hassle for you! I will reach out to your medical provider with a request for signature. If you would like to obtain a referral ahead of time, you can let them know that you have chosen a location for PT and just need a generic physical therapy order to "Evaluate and Treat."
The number of sessions recommended varies from person to person and is best determined after a comprehensive evaluation. I recognize that committing to care involves both time and financial considerations, and I prioritize transparency in that process. To provide some preliminary guidance, you’re welcome to book a complimentary consultation visit. I’m happy to walk you through what to expect.
During your Evaluation, a thorough assessment will be conducted to understand your medical history, symptoms, and goals. Before you arrive, I read every word of your intake forms, so I already have a plan for what we'll discuss, education I'll provide, and exams I'll perform. After your exams, we'll discuss your treatment plan and begin building your home program. I also like to try and include some treatment in our first visit if we have time.
At the end of the session, I'll provide my treatment recommendations. We'll talk about scheduling and I'll provide a Good Faith Estimate of estimated costs involved in your total care with me. This is not a contract and there are no obligations, it just provides some transparency for you and clarity on what your options are. If you're ready, we'll go ahead and book out your therapy sessions to maintain consistency in your care moving forward.
While some discomfort might be experienced, my priority is to find the root cause and minimize pain. To ensure treatments are as comfortable as possible, my space is warm and welcoming. The table is heated, the room is gently lit, soft music is played, and there is often aromatherapy fragrance diffusing unless you prefer we not use it. You are in control during your session. I'm here to be the teacher, to help you learn about your body and how to help it. Again, some exams and treatments might cause some discomfort, but I consistently encourage open communication with me throughout the session, and my goal is always to help you achieve in less pain than you came in with.
Bodywork (known as "manual therapy" treatment in physical therapy) is an extremely important part of a successful treatment plan, but it is really only one element. Unbundling and providing a single service like dry needling, while effective, ultimately does a disservice to you as the patient. You deserve a comprehensive plan which involves manual therapy, neuromuscular re-education (corrective exercise), nutrition, and lifestyle coaching - the whole enchilada. I choose not to unbundle my therapeutic services in the best interest of my patients. Your rehabilitation, health, and wellness deserve a well rounded and tailored approach that goes so much further than a single technique or modality can reach.
